Professional Student, Amateur Chef and Critic

Welcome everyone to Kitchen Zen, Auralie's cooking blog! A little bit about me: I'm currently a student at Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta, Georgia for their Baking and Patisserie Certificate. Prestigious, huh? Before that, I've had a few Joe jobs in various places, some restaurants, some not, almost all of them pushing me into new culinary situations.

After deciding that normal blogging wasn't for me, I started putting up recipes on my blog. At some point, I thought a clean slate would be best and started Kitchen Zen. It evolved beyond just recipes and expanded into experiments, failures (because everyone makes mistakes and everyone can learn from them), instruction guides, food rants, shop reviews, and restaurant recommendations.

I'm eager to get back into the field, and while I'll always be cooking, I want to make Kitchen Zen my career.
